What in the world is up with the world of blogs? Blogs are meant to be this great new technology where people can share their ideas and interests with others around the globe. As far as I’m concerned the state of blogs is one of chaos, confusion, and anti-interactivity. The other day I decided to do some research on the Web and try to connect to some blog writers out there that interested me. Let me tell you it was not an enjoyable task as I had envisioned. I spent four painful hours surfing through around a thousand on-line journals, and I found only a few that interested me. What are we doing out there people? It wasn’t an enjoyable task, as I had expected. I spent many hours browsing through thousands of on-line journals and only found a tiny number of things that appealed to me. What are we doing outside?
The getting to blogging can be a problem. One way to think about it is if you type the words ‘philosophy blogs’ in on the keyboard and a lot of sites pop up. Some of the sites you’re looking for have thousands of journals, but other may not, and only one blog is allowed in it. It’s because the blogs are divided into a million different categories. Some main categories to choose from, why not the categories could only be a few ones?
Content looms as the next problem. There are people talking to eachother about the local dance competition with their “philosophical” blogs. If you just want to chat with friends, you can take a chat room. The personal viewpoints expressed in blogged are supposed to be of a good nature for those in the community. Wouldn’t it be great to meet more people like yourself? How is it possible that you can only decipher what your friends are saying with crazy uncommon abbreviation and foreign language jargon? Take the subject seriously and stick to it at hand.If you try and find a really cool blogpost you will end up with a writer who has not added an entry in over a year. What’s it up to on the Net? Is this someone who has passed away? I doubt it, as there are so many of us in this lost state. It’s important for a single diary to be shared, so that the whole community can know it. If you only write about your daily living once a millennium how can someone form a relationship with you?
It is the subject of content that we should discuss, this on-line journals are a great chance to communicate with others with the same beliefs to you. Each human is a unique person with special skills and quirks, which allows us to learn a lot from them. So why do we see so many things, like ‘Who the Coolest Movie actor’ on such a large scale? Humans evolve towards a higher consciousness on a daily basis. So where are the people who have been the leading experts on the topic of spirituality and scientific exploration? I would like to hear about your experiences with pink jeans and why they were made, but I could not find anything in you’re books about the subject.
Although it is a controversial issue, commenting on someones website is something we should all agree on. If you don’t plan to reply to people who have been interested in what you have to say, why would comments sections be necessary? If all discussions are one way, how will this community function? You should wake up and smell the onions. It is time to change the sharing structure of knowledge within the blogging community to something better. It should not be used as a starting point for the small-talk world of chat rooms.
